Skyping With another 4th Grade Class For Poem In Your Pocket Day

Last Thursday on April 13, my 4th grade FOCUS class got to Skype with another 4th grade class at Kickapoo School in WI. We got to Skype with them because it was Poem In Your Pocket day and my FOCUS teacher and Media Specialist thought that it would be fun if we could Skype with another class to read poems to each other. We started off by introducing ourselves. Then we started reading all of the poems. We listened to a lot of different poems, but my favorite poem was one that my friend wrote and it was called "To Tell You The Truth" The funny part about the poem was that it was all lies! I thought that this was a great iea because it let kids be involved in reading and participating in Poem In Your Pocket day!
